The inspiration behind

Sustainability Books for Kids

The book series 'Sustainability Books for Kids' is a heartfelt creation driven by Karen Cammell's deep love for her first granddaughter, Amonita, and her desire to create a better world for future generations. Witnessing Nita's innate connection with nature and boundless curiosity, Karen was inspired to develop a series of books that would capture Nita's imagination while instilling important lessons about sustainability.

Nita became the shining inspiration behind each page, serving as a guide for Karen's storytelling and embodiment of the bright future she envisions for children. The series thus becomes a tribute to Nita, with the aim of empowering young readers to become environmentally conscious and take small steps towards making a big difference in preserving our planet.

The face behind the art

Amber Walsh

"I am a South African-born illustrator who began my road to illustrating multiple books in my teen years. Illustrating is my passion, and collaboration is important to me. I firmly believe that it is crucial to spread educational and truthful topics to children through the means of stimulating imagery.

Author Karen Cammell’s children’s book project, “Sustainability for Kids”, has been an enjoyable and educating one, discovering diverse and relevant topics that ought to be taught to this generation of children."
